Kameshkovsky District Historical and Local Lore Museum
About museum
27 April 1977 the House of Culture "13 October" hosted the opening of the museum's first exhibition, created by local historian M. V. Vorontsov. It was dedicated to the history and labor achievements of the Y. M. Sverdlov Factory. In 2002 the museum acquired the status of a municipal cultural institution and moved to School No. 2 on Lenin Street. After reconstruction, in June 2003 the first exhibition devoted to the town's founding was opened. Today the museum presents five exhibitions: "Town's Founding", "Its Presence on the Land", "Russian Izba", "Vladimir Rozhok Players (traditional horn musicians)", "Front. Home Front. Captivity". In addition, the museum has a branch — the People's Museum of A. P. Borodin in the village of Davydovo, Kameshkovsky District.
