About museum
Bringing together amateur art, folk creativity and club activities in the Kaluga Region; — development of the regional system of methodological support and assistance for folk culture, amateur art and club activities; — creation and implementation of innovative projects, programs, and informational and methodological materials for the work of cultural and leisure institutions; — promotion of traditional crafts and trades in the Kaluga Region. The State Budgetary Cultural Institution of the Kaluga Region "Kaluga Regional Center for Folk Art" was established by a resolution of the Kaluga Regional Executive Committee in December 1979 on the basis of the Kaluga Regional House of Folk Art. The institution is subordinate to the Ministry of Culture of the Kaluga Region and is part of the system of methodological support and assistance for folk culture, amateur art and club activities. Its activities aim to provide organizational, informational, scientific-methodological and creative support to the cultural and leisure institutions of the Kaluga Region (427 club-type institutions).
