Historical and Cultural Memorial Museum-Reserve 'Kimmeria M. A. Voloshin'
About museum
The State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Crimea 'Historical and Cultural Memorial Museum-Reserve Kimmeria of M. A. Voloshin' was established in 2000 and is classified as a cultural heritage site of particular value. The basis of the reserve's development concept is an ecological-historical-cultural principle, i.e., the idea of the nature, history, and culture of southeastern Crimea as a single system. Kimmeria's geological past is filled with traces of the cultures of vanished peoples and is manifested in the unity of the historical landscape and its artistic embodiment in the works of painters, writers, and musicians of different generations. The creation of the reserve represents a concrete expression of the socio-cultural aspect of ecology, aimed at preserving and protecting the cultural and historical space that M. Voloshin called Kimmeria.
