The Historical Museum in the town of Taiga has existed since 2000 and is engaged in preserving the town's historical and cultural heritage. The museum's main activities are the storage, registration and scientific processing of museum items and collections, as well as organizing exhibitions. Museum staff also provide cultural and public events and guided tours for legal entities and individuals, and hold events in the town's and region's preschool and general education institutions. One of the museum staff's tasks is to help the local community develop a sense of responsibility and respect for its past.
