About museum

The Alushta museum's collection has an interesting archaeological composition that includes ancient objects spanning a wide chronological range from the mountainous and southern parts of Crimea. The museum studies and collects archaeological, ethnographic, documentary and other materials related to the history of Alushta and Crimea. Today the museum's collection comprises more than 6,500 exhibits, including rare postcards, unique photographs, documents, books and memorial complexes. These are important sources for studying the history of the Alushta region.
