About museum

In January 2008 the Idrinsky District Local History Museum named after N. F. Letyagin was established; it traces its history back to 1996, when, on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Honored Worker of Culture of the RSFSR and the founder of the first local history museum in the village of Novoberezovka, members of the district library under the leadership of L. V. Evseenko decided to create a local history museum in the village of Idrinskoye. It features various collections, such as the N. F. Letyagin Collection, the V. I. Borisov Collection 'Rocks and Minerals', the 'Fauna of the Idrinsky District' Collection, the 'Entomology' Collection, and a numismatic collection represented by coins of the Russian Empire, the Soviet and contemporary periods, as well as foreign coins and banknotes.
