Yemelyanovsky Museum
About museum
On June 30, 2003, a historical and local history museum was opened in the Yemelyanovsky District. It was established on the initiative of the district's veterans. The opportunity to open the institution was made possible thanks to the support of the district head, Nikolay Ilyich Shilov, and the museum director, Ivan Timofeyevich Turbin. Preparing the premises for the museum required the involvement of many people from the district, as well as representatives of the district administration and the head of the district power supply office. After overcoming all difficulties, the museum was brought to life with the help of numerous district residents who responded to the call to open it. Thus, the Yemelyanovsky Museum is a vivid example of how a museum can be founded from scratch based on public initiatives.
