Vernissage Art Gallery, Nakhodka
About museum
\r\nOn 26 February 2006, the city's first art gallery, Vernissage, was opened in Nakhodka. On the eve of Nakhodka's 57th anniversary, on 18 May 2007, the gallery was donated to the city by the administration and sponsors. Since then it has brought the city's creative people together in its halls, giving artists from Nakhodka and Primorye the opportunity to exhibit their work and allowing visitors to become acquainted with their best works of fine art. After the gallery appeared in the city, the creative and exhibition activity of artists and students of art schools began to develop actively. The gallery became a meeting place for people from different cities of Russia, and its collections include paintings by contemporary artists and works by Soviet artists of the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s, especially portraits and genre paintings in the style of socialist realism. The founder and owner of the institution's property is the municipal formation 'Nakhodka Urban District'.
