About museum
The K.A. Timiryazev Biological Museum presents a new permanent exhibition in the "Geology" pavilion at VDNKh.

\r\nThe exhibition "12 Signs of the Living" is not simply an answer to the question of how the living differs from the non-living. In an exposition composed of traditional museum exhibits, contemporary art illustrates the process of science moving beyond the laboratory. The poetics of artistic expression helps one feel how diverse and beautiful the life of nature is and how thin — and sometimes conventional — the boundary is between what is called living and non-living.
\r\n
\r\nThe works of art were created by contemporary Russian artists specifically for the exhibition "12 Signs of the Living".
\r\n
\r\nThe exhibition is organized as a popular-science narrative. Every visitor is invited to use a mobile application developed specifically for the exhibition. The use of augmented reality helps to gain a deeper understanding of each exhibit and to connect it with the others.
