Nadym Nature House
About museum
On May 19, 1987 the Nature House was opened; in 2007 it received the status of a branch of MAUK "Museum of History and Archaeology of the city of Nadym." It is responsible for preserving cultural, historical and artistic valuables. It also organizes celebrations of international environmental dates adopted by the UN General Assembly. The Nature House hosts exhibitions dedicated to ethnography, the wildlife of the Subarctic, the history and fates of the builders of Nadym, living nature, ecology of northern territories, rare and medicinal plants of Tyumen Oblast, the world of insects, a paleontological collection, an exhibition of stones and minerals, as well as the chum "Myadomti mya." The museum objects and collections total 2,895 items, with 655 scientific and auxiliary items.
