About museum
The House-Museum of Mikhail Konstantinovich Ammosov was opened in Yakutsk in 1987. It is located in the house where the Ammosov family lived in the 1920s. The museum contains a variety of exhibits that trace the life and activities of M.K. Ammosov from his youth to his arrest and execution. The museum displays a photocopy of Ammosov's last letter, as well as the interior of his study recreated using furniture and books from the revolutionary's personal library. The museum also presents materials on party and state figures of Yakutia in 1916–1928, the confederalist movement, the history of gold mining, and the development of transport. The Ammosov House-Museum is a branch of the Yakutsk State United Museum of the History and Culture of the Peoples of the North named after E. Yaroslavsky.
