In 1990, a memorial museum to the founder of the Ross fortress, Ivan Kuskov, was opened in the town of Totma, featuring a bust created by sculptor N. N. Mukhataev. The artistic design of the exhibition was by Honored Artist of Russia Oleg Vasilyevich Pakhomov. The museum is the first Museum of Russian America in Russia. It presents materials on the history of Totma, portraits of people involved in the town's founding, household items and tools used in the fields and forests, as well as photographs and documents. It is the only museum in Russia where you can see a monument to Ivan Kuskov.
