S. M. Budyonny House-Museum
About museum
In 1939 a house-museum exhibition was established dedicated to Semyon Mikhailovich Budyonny, a three-time Hero of the Soviet Union. The house-museum contains all household items belonging to the Budyonny family, as well as an exhibition devoted to the history of the formation of the First Cavalry Army. Semyon Mikhailovich Budyonny served as Deputy People's Commissar of Defense of the USSR in 1939–1941 and commanded the forces of the South-Western and North Caucasian directions in the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1942. In memory of this military leader the house-museum was founded and covered by a glass pavilion.
