Buzdyak Historical and Local Lore Museum
About museum
In 1995 premises were allocated in the Buzdyak district for the creation of a historical and local lore museum. Since May 2000 the museum has been operating in the House of Culture building with two halls. The first is devoted to the feats of Buzdyak residents in the Great Patriotic War. It features an artistic panel and an information wall presenting data on the number of conscripts in the district and in Bashkortostan. The middle section of the hall is occupied by photographs of servicemen and more than 300 reproductions. The second hall contains shelving with exhibits and ethnographic items, paintings by local artists, exhibitions, genealogies of notable families of the district, histories of villages and settlements, and histories of enterprises and organizations. In the center of the hall there is a traditional izba where ethnographic material is displayed. The museum's total collection comprises more than 2,000 items.
