Exhibition «Golden Bee 16: Selected»

The CK19 Culture Center presents the exhibition «Golden Bee 16: Selected», organized in collaboration with the Union of Designers of Russia. The exhibition features about 100 works in the category «Global Language of the Poster».

The global biennial «Golden Bee», showcasing the best examples of world graphic design, will be held this year for the sixteenth time. The project was born in 1992, and for more than 30 years has been carried out mainly through enthusiasm and the efforts of the professional design community, with the help of friends, partners, students and numerous volunteers.

This year the biennial included works from 53 countries around the globe: Azerbaijan, Argentina, Armenia, Belarus, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Ecuador, South Korea, Japan and others. The main biennial project was presented in September 2024 at the State Tretyakov Gallery, and now residents of Novosibirsk also have the opportunity to get acquainted with selected works of world design.

"If a viewer perceives a poster intellectually, the whole exhibition becomes conceptual and full of meaning for them. If they can derive purely visual pleasure, the exhibition will be more formal and plastic. If a person is capable of both, we will call them happy. I literally heard this thought yesterday in an interview with my former student from the Higher Academic School of Graphic Design, Styopa Lipatov. So I wish everyone a little happiness at Golden Bee 16 in these difficult, dramatic times," shares the biennial's president Sergey Serov.

The exhibition features posters by such superstars of world design as Majid Abbasi (Iran), Alex Yordan (Germany), Keizo Matsui (Japan), and Leonardo Sonnoli (Italy). The display is also adorned by posters from outstanding contemporary designers: Swiss designers Erich Brechbühl, Stefan Bundi, Martin Woodtli, Melchior Imboden and Niklaus Troxler.

In addition to posters, the halls fully present the screen categories «Art-Digital Design» and «Designer + Artificial Intelligence».

The exhibition opens on October 3 and will run until November 3.
