From June 1 to June 30, 2024, the Vladimir Vysotsky State Museum, together with the Sergey Andriyaka School of Watercolor, is holding the exhibition "The Colorful World of Childhood." The exhibition is organized as part of Children's Day and the Year of the Family. The exhibition will feature works by Russian artists — graduates of the Sergey Andriyaka School of Watercolor and the Sergey Andriyaka Academy of Watercolor and Fine Arts, Regina Pokachalova and Alexandra Barakhina. The exhibition is distinguished by a variety of genres and techniques: landscapes, portraits and still lifes. But they are all united by one thing — deep, happy memories of childhood and of the great master of watercolor painting, Sergei Nikolaevich Andriyaka. Sergei Nikolaevich Andriyaka often liked to repeat the words: "In my works I have always sought to depict the eternal." The great artist taught and guided his students to always honor their traditions, for without traditions life itself is impossible. With his mastery, the artist taught each student to feel their presence in this world and to try to depict it on canvas. A graduate of the Sergey Andriyaka School of Watercolor and the Sergey Andriyaka Academy of Watercolor and Fine Arts, Regina Evgenyevna works and paints in various styles: watercolor, graphic art, portrait, still life, etching, oil painting, miniature enamel painting and mosaic. The artist primarily paints portraits, still lifes and landscapes. Her works always convey an inner enlightenment, pensiveness and wisdom.
A graduate of the Sergey Andriyaka School of Watercolor and the Sergey Andriyaka Academy of Watercolor and Fine Arts, Alexandra Barakhina completed the Sergey Andriyaka School of Watercolor in 2004, and in 2014 graduated from the Moscow State Academy of Watercolor and Fine Arts named after Sergey Andriyaka. Alexandra Sergeevna paints landscapes and still lifes in the watercolor technique, the medium in which Sergey Nikolaevich Andriyaka himself almost always worked. Of Alexandra Barakhina's works one can say the following: "It all opened up to her so favorably at the peaks of experience that she wanted to share and share — not only through her works, but also by teaching the very craft of seeing and conveying this extraordinary beauty." Alexandra is a teacher of children's and adult groups at the Sergey Andriyaka School of Watercolor and a teacher in the continuing education department at the Academy of Watercolor and Fine Arts.
