A kugelbahn has appeared at the Kirov Diorama

At the Museum and Exhibition Center "Diorama" (a department of the Kirov Regional Museum of Local Lore named after P. V. Alabin), the exhibition "Playing Together Is Fun" (0+) has opened. The opening is timed to coincide with Children's Day.

During the summer school holidays, children at the Diorama can enjoy favorite pastimes — games and fairy tales.

The centerpiece of the exhibition is a long and noisy wooden labyrinth, the "kugelbahn" ("road of balls"). The attraction offers more than twenty routes, with short and long distances. The labyrinth is 15 meters long, and the total length of all paths is 115 meters. This attraction is consistently popular with Diorama visitors. For example, in 2024 nearly 7,000 people visited it!

"It is impossible to imagine anyone’s childhood without fairy tales. They are connected with the best and kindest childhood memories. Therefore, the exhibition also features various exhibits united by a fairy-tale theme from our museum’s collection," the Diorama staff said.

Visitors will see children's toys, photographs, pictures, books, plaster sculptures, and folk craft items inspired by well-known fairy tales. Children will be greeted by beloved fairy-tale characters: Danila the Master and the Mistress of the Copper Mountain, Ivan Tsarevich and the Gray Wolf, Little Red Riding Hood and Cinderella, the Little Humpbacked Horse, Emelya, and many others.

A bright and unusual accent is provided by paintings created by students of Kirov's children's art school.

Interactive zones with board games will be organized for young visitors.

The exhibition will run until August 24.
