Exhibition "The Century of Sport: On the 100th Anniversary of Moscow Sport"

The exhibition includes more than 150 works of painting, graphic art, sculpture and monumental art from the collections of the Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, the Kursk Art Gallery named after A.A. Deineka, the Murmansk Regional Art Museum, the Yaroslavl Art Museum, the Astrakhan Art Gallery named after P.M. Dogadin and other regional museums. The exhibition features over 150 works from the collections of well-known Russian museums. Among them are paintings by A.A. Deineka, B.A. Talberg, A.N. Samokhvalov, V.A. Mylnikova, A.Yu. Nikich and others. The sports theme appears in Russian art in the 1920s–1930s and immediately occupies an important place. At that time, the development of sport was inseparable from the task of forming the "new person", the builder of the communist state.

The exhibition project "Journey to the East" presents a collection of photographs made by scholars, professional photographers and tourists in the 19th–20th centuries. The exhibition reflects the cultural heritage and diversity of the East, showing the great history of the Silk Road and its influence on the spread of photography in the 19th century. The exhibition offers a chance to get acquainted with works by outstanding photographers that have become not only historical documents but also artistic monuments depicting the beauty and cultural richness of the East.

The Museum of Landscape in Plyos presents an exhibition whose display includes three studies by Isaac Levitan from the collection of the Nizhny Novgorod State Art Museum: 'Oak Grove' (1880), 'Twilight' (1899) and 'Barges. Volga' (1889). The project began in 2022, when a sketch of Levitan's famous painting 'Above Eternal Peace' from the collection of the State Tretyakov Gallery was exhibited at the Levitan Cultural Center.

The term "avant-garde" literally means "vanguard." The exhibition "Avant-garde. 20th Century" displays works by the true champions of the new art that defined the turbulent 20th century. A tour of the exhibition will introduce visitors to the work of well-known masters: Vasily Kandinsky, Salvador Dalí, Marc Chagall, René Magritte — artists who set the main direction of art development for many years.

The exhibition presents 19 works by leading Russian artists of the 19th–early 20th centuries. Most of the masterpieces on display are usually part of the permanent collection of the Primorsky Gallery, and this is a unique chance to see them. Seventeen oil paintings and two watercolor portraits by well-known Russian artists such as Karl Bryullov, Vladimir Makovsky, Pyotr Sokolov, Konstantin Somov, Mikhail Nesterov, Nikolai Fechin and Zinaida Serebriakova convey the diversity of portrait painting of the period. Thematically and stylistically, the project covers all types of portraiture — from religious canvases to portraits with elements of genre painting. The project is of interest to a wide audience and provides an opportunity to get acquainted with masterpieces of Russian portrait art.
