Historian Kirill Klopkov will talk about:
— how dowries were assembled,
— how weddings differed among merchants, townspeople and peasants,
— why a pin was fastened to the wedding dress,
— why the wedding procession was sprinkled with grain and hops.

📅 September 27, 6:00 PM — Tea-talk “Tea traditions and the Karzinkins (merchant family)”
Researcher and tea merchant Nikolai Kulapov will tell how tea turned the peasant Karzinkin into a merchant-magnate, which age-old tea traditions survive to this day, who lived and visited the Teleshov-Karzinkin mansion and how it has changed over the years. Special guest — Natalia Khalezova, great-granddaughter of S. S. Karzinkin.
