Zyryansky Local History Museum
About museum
On December 25, 2009, the Zyryansky Local History Museum was opened. It features 8 halls with permanent and rotating exhibitions and displays, as well as open-air exhibits where agricultural crops are grown. In addition, the museum conducts cultural and educational activities within various programs. The museum also undertakes research, resulting in the publication of books on the history of vanished settlements in the Zyryansky District, as well as a toponymic dictionary, brochures, and books that uncover forgotten and tragic pages of the district's history. Furthermore, at the initiative of the museum, a monument to the victims of political repression was erected. Material has been collected on the history of the district's villages, the Leningrad-Zyryansky children's home, the district court, and the education and healthcare systems.
