About museum

On December 20, 2018, in the village of Osino-Gay (Gavrilovsky District), the reconstructed museum of military-historical glory dedicated to the Heroes of the Soviet Union Zoya and Alexander Kosmodemyansky was opened. It is housed in School No. 1 in their native village and received financial support from the Russian Military-Historical Society. The renewed exhibition includes three halls: a hall with portraits of the three Heroes (Zoya and Alexander Kosmodemyansky, Stepan Perekalsky); the "Izba of the Kosmodemyanskys" hall with elements of reconstructed historical interior; and the local history hall "Tambov Land — Homeland of Heroes". A new addition to the museum space is multimedia technology: touchscreens and TV panels.
