Western Wing of the New Tretyakov Gallery
About museum
In 2019 the Western Wing of the former Central House of Artists on Krymsky Val came under the management of the Tretyakov Gallery. It hosts major interdisciplinary exhibitions, collaborative projects with other museums and foundations, as well as film programs and events in the Grand Hall. This hall served as a venue for musical and educational events from 1979 through the 2010s and welcomed renowned international curators and prominent cultural figures. Today it hosts musical concerts and festivals, theatrical and performative projects, lectures, public talks, film premieres, educational programs, and more. There is also a Museum Lounge where visitors can read publications selected by the Tretyakov Gallery’s curators and its partners, view archives of film programs, and access electronic subscription publications.
