On March 15, 2017, an exhibition hall was opened in the village of Atalanka in Ust-Udinsky District in honor of the 80th anniversary of V. G. Rasputin, who was born in this place. The district mayor, S. N. Chemezov, decided to create a permanent exhibition that includes the writer's personal belongings, his books translated into various languages, and photographs. The exhibition is titled 'Where My Books Came From' and is continually being supplemented with new items.
