About museum
On August 1, 1994 the city exhibition hall was opened; in 2011 it was renamed the Severomorsk Exhibition Hall, and in 2014 it was reorganized by being merged with the Museum of the History of the City and the Fleet, which led to the creation of the Severomorsk Museum and Exhibition Complex. Its collections include works by Honored Artists of Russia A. A. Sergienko, I. V. Vorona, A. Tarasova, as well as more than 300 items of the main museum collection. The institution's small staff enthusiastically promotes the visual arts by organizing exhibitions, creative competitions, talks, video lectures, tours, and meetings with artists. In addition, within the dynamic series of interesting exhibitions of painting, graphics, photography, and children's art it has become a nice tradition to hold the open-air vernissage "Severomorsk Arbat" on International Children's Day, as well as New Year and Christmas contests for unusual Christmas trees.
