Water Tower (exhibition 'Old Vladimir')
About museum
Located near the Golden Gates in Vladimir is the 'Old Vladimir' exhibition, housed in a former water tower built in 1912. It was constructed to serve the city's water supply but has since lost its original function. The exhibition, opened after a major renovation at the end of 2009, allows visitors to experience the atmosphere of Vladimir at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. The displays include documentary photographs, scale models, original items and other historical artifacts that reveal everyday life in the city. Thus, the exhibition introduces visitors to Vladimir's past among townspeople, civil servants and merchants.
