Verkhny Ufaley Museum of History and Local Lore
About museum
On November 3, 1967, the Museum of History and Local Lore was opened in Verkhny Ufaley. It is housed in two old merchant mansions built in 1894 and 1924. The museum was founded by a group of people interested in history who collected various materials and exhibits. The museum's collections contain more than 26,000 items, including archaeological and numismatic collections. One of the first exhibits was a writing desk with a set of chairs sent to the Verkhny Ufaley factory after the Great Fire of 1890. Visitors can trace a centuries-long path from antiquity to the present day, learn about the work of Pavel Severny and discover many interesting things.
