About museum

Here you can see various remains of dinosaurs, gamasaurids, and other paleontological specimens. In the Vyatka region there is a unique natural site — the Kotel'nich locality of pareiasaurs and reptiles that lived here 260 million years ago. Paleontologists have been studying this site since 1933 and have accumulated a large amount of scientific material. In 1994 the Paleontological Museum was opened in the city of Kirov. It exhibits rare finds and the stories associated with them to attract visitors' interest in paleontology. You can see here remains of dinosaurs, gamasaurids, and other paleontological specimens.
