Tuapse Historical and Local History Museum named after N. G. Poletaev is not only a place to learn about history but also a venue for cultural and community events. It serves to preserve and popularize the heritage of the Tuapse district. The Tuapse Historical and Local History Museum named after N. G. Poletaev was established in 1946 by decision of the Tuapse Executive Committee. From the 1950s, archaeological excavations were carried out under the direction of Professor N. V. Anfimov. The museum has 11 halls and 5 permanent exhibitions, and also an open-air museum courtyard exhibition available to visitors. Cultural and community events are also held at the museum. It serves to preserve and popularize the heritage of the Tuapse district.
