The barn is a monument of history and architecture and is of interest to researchers and visitors. The museum object "Sukhorukovsky Barn" is located in a forested area near the "Yugorskaya Valley" complex. It is surrounded by elements of Ob-Ugric culture: a Khanty stove, a hearth (fire pit) and a woodpile. The two-story log barn is an example of the integration of national cultures and of intercultural interaction between Russians and the indigenous inhabitants of Yugra in the 19th–20th centuries. The barn's interior space and exhibition displays allow visitors to understand the cultural and historical environment in which those people lived.
