Sosnovsky District Historical and Local Lore Museum

About museum

Opening date — 1987. The first director was S.P. Kudyurov. The museum was created on the basis of the Room of Military Glory, organized in 1985. The exhibition area is 284 sq. m. The Sosnovsky District Museum is located in the Cultural and Sports Complex of the village of Dolgoderevenskoye, Sosnovsky District.

\r\nSince 1985 the foundations of the modern exhibitions have been formed. The museum staff took part in returning the building of the Holy Trinity Church to the Russian Orthodox Church, in collecting historical relics, and in working with eyewitnesses of events. With the help of the municipality, sponsors and the regional local history museum, the interiors were renovated, new exhibitions were created, and modern computer equipment was acquired.

\r\nThe museum conducts activities for guests of all age groups and for persons with disabilities. For this purpose various forms and methods are used — lessons, lectures and talks are held, and thematic excursions are offered on various subjects (geography, biology, local history, history).
