Here are materials on the history of the municipal district and the city of Sosnovy Bor, as well as items of everyday life and the region's industry. Various exhibitions, master classes, lectures and other events can be attended here.

In 1995, a city museum was established in Sosnovy Bor. It is located in the former rural house of the village of Ustye, which belonged to a veteran of two wars — the Finnish War and the Great Patriotic War — P. Ya. Yakkonen. On the museum grounds one can see soldiers' graves, defensive armaments, a memorial complex to fellow countrymen who died in battle, and a memorial chapel of St. Nicholas. The museum's work focuses on regional history, military and naval history, and the history of the city of Sosnovy Bor.
