Slobodskoy Local History Museum - opened in May 1921. The museum's founders were the writer and local historian V.V. Lebedev and the artist S.M. Luppov.

\r\nSince 2016 the local history museum has been located in a merchant's mansion dating from the late 18th–early 19th centuries. The building was erected by the well-known Slobodskoy merchant K.A. Anfilatov in 1792 and was significantly enlarged by M.P. Onchukov in 1889-1990. Elements of the old interior have been preserved: staircases, parquet floors, stoves, fireplaces, and ceiling stucco.
\r\nThe museum presents exhibitions that tell the history of the Slobodskoy land: “The Ancient Past of the Region”, “Churches and Monasteries”, “Slobodskoy Bells and Little Bells”. Visitors can look into the “Merchant's Dining Room” and the “Merchant's Office”, and visit the picture gallery with a magnificent collection of Russian avant-garde painting from the 1910s–1920s.
\r\nThe museum holds a collection of European porcelain from the 18th–19th centuries; unique are the collections of cast-iron and artistic castings, clocks, samovars, bells and yoke-bells, items made of leather, fur, and silver, and kapokornya. The museum's ethnographic collection presents local variants of the cultures of the Russian, Udmurt, and Tatar peoples.
