Victory Park, Lipetsk
About museum
Victory Park is a place for relaxation and patriotic education in the heart of Lipetsk. In 1973–1974 a park was laid out here to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Soviet people's victory over Nazi Germany. On Victory Square you can see a large star formed from beautiful trees, and Labor Square is decorated with an obelisk honoring the people who established the park in 1975. During construction 40,000 trees and 7,000 shrubs were planted. The park is suitable for active recreation as well as quiet walks along green alleys. There is also the Museum of Military Glory, a sports area with exercise equipment, art installations, and a mini-golf club. Daily 'Path to Health' classes in fitness, yoga, qigong, and the Strelnikova breathing method are held completely free of charge. Victory Park is a beloved spot for Lipetsk residents and visitors and attracts everyone without exception.
