Today this place attracts the attention of tourists and history enthusiasts. On the eastern wing of the ensemble is the ancestral princely residence, built in the 1720s for Countess Anna Petrovna Ratzova. On the western wing is the Museum of Aristocratic Life, and in the center of the ensemble stands the Regional Teachers' House. The ancestral princely residence, the Museum of Aristocratic Life and the Regional Teachers' House together form the St. Petersburg Palace of Culture for Education Workers, a historical and cultural palatial ensemble of federal significance and European renown. Over the past two and a half centuries the function and status of this old mansion and urban estate on the Moika River have changed many times. Today the palace attracts the attention of many tourists and history enthusiasts.
