Moscow 850th Anniversary Park of Culture and Leisure
About museum
In 1997, on the occasion of the 850th anniversary of the city of Moscow, the 850th Anniversary Park was opened. On its grounds is the monument 'Student Signs' — the only one of its kind in Russia. It was created from sketches by students of the Moscow Architectural Institute and is a granite 'pyatak' — a 5-kopeck coin minted in 1978, around which the abbreviations of Moscow universities are embossed. On June 8, 2007, the Architectural and Park Complex 'Good Angel of the World', dedicated to philanthropists of different eras, was opened in the park. Also, in 2008 a commemorative stone was installed on which it was planned to erect an architectural ensemble of characters and heroes from H. C. Andersen's fairy tales. Thus, the 850th Anniversary Park of Moscow is one of the city's important attractions.
