Blagoveshchensk Exhibition Hall

About museum

Since 1972 the exhibition hall belonged to the Union of Artists of the Amur Region. In the late 1990s and early 2000s it was municipal property and was leased out. In 2018 the exhibition hall premises temporarily housed the city music school. At the end of 2018 the premises were transferred to the regional authorities, and in 2019 they were handed over to the G. S. Novikov-Daursky Amur Regional Museum of Local Lore. That same year the All-Russian exhibition "Images of War" was held, organized by the Art Fund in cooperation with the Moscow Union of Artists. Thus, the exhibition hall became not only a place for displaying visual art but also a cultural and educational center. Festivals, lectures, master classes, as well as musical, theatrical and poetic salons are held here.
