About museum

Usolye Stroganovskoye is an open-air museum presenting a unique ensemble of buildings from different periods and styles. The museum was established in 2012 and occupies a vast area — 18.7 hectares along the bank of the Kama River. The site contains 45 architectural monuments from the 18th–19th centuries, six of which are of federal significance. The museum organizes scientific and practical conferences, local and regional seminars, and participates in and wins competitions for social and cultural projects. In addition, the museum holds large-scale public events at the municipal, regional, all-Russian, and international levels, such as the "Wide Maslenitsa in Usolye Stroganovskoye", the "Festival of Bell Ringing and Sacred Music 'Zvony Rossii'", the scientific and practical conference "Stroganov Readings", the music and art festival "Stroganov Spring", the children's Easter egg painting contest "Pysanka on the Kama", and the family theatrical celebration "One Day in Kapustnaya Sloboda".
