About museum
The exhibition of the 'Culture of Yalta, 19th–early 20th century' department is located in the former mansion of Baron A. G. Jomini, built in 1886 to a design by architect P. P. Terebenev at 8 Yekaterininskaya Street. Here you can see the atmosphere of Yalta mansions of the late 19th–early 20th century. The recreated interior includes original furniture, household items, books, paintings and rare photographs. The museum also displays works by the academician of the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts and architect of the Imperial Court Nikolay Petrovich Krasnov. Photographs, documents and drawings allow one to appreciate the talent and skill of the architect. All of this helps to imagine Yalta of its bygone centuries.
