Okoneshnikovsky District Historical Museum
About museum
The district museum presents exhibitions dedicated to the history of the region's settlement and development, as well as to the feats and diversity of settlers: 'History of the Region, Far and Near', 'Your Heroes — Russia!', 'Marshal Yazov — The Man, a Legend'. Up to 20 different thematic exhibitions from the museum's collections, decorative and applied arts, and paintings are held in the hall each year. Two clubs operate at the museum: 'Istoki' for lovers of antiquities and 'Vdokhnovenie' — a creative association of masters. The works of club members are shown at exhibitions not only in the district, but also in regional museums and other cities of Russia. A particularly notable success was club member Ya. N. Ovchinnikov, who took part in the Moscow festival 'Festnaiv' in 2004.
