About museum

The local history museum is located in the City Trade Building — a federal architectural monument. The basement floor houses the permanent exhibition 'Siberia in Antiquity', which highlights the life and beliefs of the indigenous peoples of Siberia. The first floor contains a complex of exhibitions dedicated to the history of the Novosibirsk Region. The second floor hosts temporary exhibitions. The museum is equipped for visitors in wheelchairs: entrances are fitted with call buttons to summon an attendant who can help carry a visitor in a wheelchair over the entrance steps. A special lift can be used to move between floors.
