Novopokrovsky Local History Museum
About museum
The branch of the Novopokrovsky House of Culture — the Novopokrovsky Local History Museum — is located in a two-storey wooden building built in 1905 by the landowner Alexey Vasilievich Korolyov. It was opened in 1989 at the initiative of local residents and contains more than 700 exhibits: various antiques and household items, photographs and albums related to the history of the village of Novopokrovsky. Here you can see a working staсky stan (стацкий стан), as well as visit exhibitions and take guided tours. The museum has two memorial exhibits: a boulder installed in 1992 in honor of the village's 100th anniversary, and a ZIS-5 military vehicle installed in 1990 in honor of the 45th anniversary of the Great Victory.
