A. S. Khomyakov Manor Museum "Bogucharovo"
About museum
The A. S. Khomyakov Museum is a unique architectural ensemble of the Bogucharovo manor, built in the 18th–19th centuries and preserved in its original form. In 1919 a museum of 19th-century culture and everyday life was opened here, featuring portraits of the Khomyakov family and figures of the past century. In 1995 the museum was granted the status of a federal cultural and historical heritage site. Guided tours, lectures and celebrations are held here. One of these is the "Khomyakov Home" festival, organized to draw public attention to the issue of preserving the manor. All the estate buildings and the park are in need of restoration, and the museum is located in several rooms of the former Khomyakov house. It presents the history of the 19th-century Russian provincial manor and the Slavophile circle. Thus, the museum is dedicated to the life of A. S. Khomyakov and is an important cultural heritage site.
