Navashinsky Local History Museum

\r\nOn April 29, 2009 the Navashinsky Local History Museum was opened; it was formed as a result of the merger of the Museum of Military and Labor Glory, the museum of the Oka shipbuilding plant and the local history museum of Volosovskaya School. The creation of the museums took place during the period from 1970 to 2000 at the initiative of various people: director N. F. Tereshkin, local historian G. D. Korchin, N. A. Nabelya, I. Ya. Shcheglov, A. P. Sachkova, L. F. Logvinenko, history teacher G. G. Belova, head of the department of culture, sports, library services and youth policy of the administration of Navashinsky District N. M. Meshkova, director of School No. 3 in Navashino A. Yu. Meshkov, and local artists Yu. N. Obukhov and V. N. Vlaskov. The Navashinsky Local History Museum is located on the second floor of the Palace of Children's Creativity with an area of 102 sq. m. It has four halls: the history of the Navashinsky area, the history of the creation of the Oka shipyard, a contemporary section, and an exhibition dedicated to the Great Patriotic War.
