Neftekumsky District Historical and Local Lore Museum
About museum
The Neftekumsky District Historical and Local Lore Museum was established in August 2000 at the initiative of Pyotr Nikolaevich Kudinov, the former director of the Neftekumsk secondary school. The museum's holdings were supplemented by collecting photographic materials, documents, materials, photographs of notable local people and of the town, household items and ornaments of indigenous peoples. The museum records and stores items in accordance with internal museum regulations, which provide for duplication of documentation in electronic form, as well as maintaining key custody logs, admitting visitors to the storage depository, and issuing museum items. As of now the museum's collection has grown to 3,794 inventory items and continues to increase after each meeting of the Collection Committee (FZK).
