May 17, 2003 marked the founding of the Myskovsky Historical and Ethnographic Museum. Today it is of great importance to the town's residents, serving as the main repository of material and spiritual cultural monuments and as a cultural and educational center. The ethnography hall features various collections related to hunting, gathering, fishing, household items and national clothing. Lectures on various topics concerning the culture, history and everyday life of the Shor people are also held for visitors. Among the museum's exhibits are wooden, birch-bark and clay tableware, as well as hunting craft items. The exhibition hall hosts scheduled exhibitions and themed events. The Myskovsky Historical and Ethnographic Museum is a place where one can learn about the culture, history and way of life of the Shor people.
