About museum
The museum was founded on September 26, 1994, and was opened to visitors on May 9, 1995. The first visitor was I. V. Muzyko, a participant in the Great Patriotic War and the Victory Parade, who was granted the honor of cutting the red ribbon. The museum covers 374 sq. m., and the halls 'Life of the First Settlers', 'Nature', two Halls of Glory, the exhibition hall and the corridor house 17 permanent exhibitions. The museum collection comprises 11,819 items, of which 11,140 belong to the main collection and 679 to the auxiliary (non-core) collection. Each year the museum receives more than 12,000 visitors, who are offered both traditional and new types of events. The museum serves preschool children, schoolchildren, youth and seniors.
