Museum 'Land and People' named after A. Sh. Abdreev
About museum
Since 1982 the 'Land and People' museum named after Akhmetgarey Shakirzyanovich Abdreev has been operating; it was established at the initiative of Hero of Socialist Labour Akhmetgarey Shakirzyanovich Abdreev, chairman of the collective farm named after the 22nd Party Congress. The museum presents exhibitions 'Tatar Daughter-in-law's Corner', 'Notable Locals', 'Collectivization of the Village', 'Chairmen', 'Leading Workers of the Collective Farm', 'Antique Household Items', 'Numismatics', 'V. I. Ulyanov-Lenin — our fellow countryman', the Hall of Military Glory, 'Crop Production', and 'Animal Husbandry'. The museum's holdings include personal belongings of A. Sh. Abdreev, items and documents from the personal archive of Mirgalifan Azizov, a collection of rare books and photographs of the legendary intelligence operatives Bibiaran Alimova and Shamil Khamzin, as well as gramophone records and sheet music of the Merited and People's Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan Gabdulla Rakhimkulov. The museum organizes lectures, talks, meetings, guided tours, museum get-togethers, quests, quizzes, museum lessons, 'Night of Museums' and 'Open Doors Day' events, and other activities.
