Emalis Museum of Enamel Art
About museum
In 2011 a presidential grant was received to establish the Emalis Museum of Enamel Art. Since 2017 it has held first place in TripAdvisor's 'Workshops' category, and in 2018 it was included in the TOP-15 best private museums in Russia according to ATOR. Visitors can learn the history of the hot enamel technique, become acquainted with works by leading enamel artists from Russia, Europe, the USA, China and Japan, and also study the technique of painting with glass-based paints on a copper ground. Interactive programs with master classes are offered for family, friends and corporate leisure. Anyone may independently create artworks and then fire them in a muffle furnace at temperatures up to 850°C. Finished works can be kept as mementos. A shop is open in the museum and online where you can purchase exclusive paintings, jewelry and souvenirs created by the museum's enamel masters, produced using hot enamel, cold enamel and finift techniques.
