Kolomenskoye Museum-Reserve is part of the Moscow State United Museum-Reserve "Kolomenskoye — Izmaylovo — Lyublino". The history of the ancient suburban village of Kolomenskoye dates back to the 14th century. It was the summer estate of the Moscow tsars. There are 19 historical and cultural monuments on the Kolomenskoye grounds, 11 of which have federal significance. Here you can see the Church of the Ascension, the St. George Bell Tower, the Vodovzvodnaya (Water-Lifting) Tower, the 1825 Palace Pavilion, and the reconstructed palace of Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich. Exhibitions, concerts, and guided art programs are held here. Entry to the grounds is free; visiting hours are Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00 to 18:00, and on Saturdays from 11:00 to 19:00. Works of Old Russian painting from the 15th–17th centuries — over 2,000 items. A unique collection of white-stone carving composed of fragments of the decoration of destroyed Moscow churches and white-stone carved tombstones from the 16th–20th centuries. One of the best collections of tiles (izraztsy) in Russia from the 10th to the early 20th century. Monumental and decorative wood carving from the 16th–20th centuries — the most notable items of the collections.
