Mikhail Nikitich Romanov — brother of Patriarch Filaret and uncle of the first tsar of the Romanov dynasty, Mikhail Fyodorovich. Stolnik in 1597, okolnichy in 1598. In June 1601 he was accused of witchcraft, stripped of his rank and exiled to the village of Nyrob in Cherdynsky Uyezd (now Perm Krai). By spring 1602 (according to some sources, by August) he died. He was popularly called the "Nyrob martyr".
